Alison Levine is renowned for her powerhouse strength and the speed at which she has developed within the sport. Alison was recruited into boccia by fellow BC4 athlete, Marco Dispaltro. Prior to her introduction to the sport, Alison dabbled in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, and competitive horse-back riding. Among her many achievements was the 2023 World Boccia Santiago Parapan Ams where she won a gold medal in individual and pairs play. At this same competition, she was selected as the sole representative to carry the Canadian flag in the closing ceremonies. She has had countless successes in the sport to date and has officially qualified for the Paris Paralympics, alongside her Pairs’ partner, Iulian Ciobanu. She is one of the top boccia competitors in the world right now. She is classed as a BC4 and has also achieved great success within the Boccia Canada organization in other roles and hats she has put on, apart from being a success internationally!
