We wish you all the best with your parasport projects!
The Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) recognizes the importance of strong development programming to support a sustainable sport system as well as podium performances and as a result has developed the System Development Fund which is made possible through contributions from Sport Canada and the CPC.
Through the System Development Fund, the CPC invests in system development programming including recruitment initiatives, coaching, equipment, volunteer and coach training, and more. The System Development Fund is allocated based on the stages of the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and funds can be used to support the creation of a new program, or go towards the expansion of an existing successful initiative. Funds will also have an increased focus on recruitment in sports that are part of the CPC’s long term strategy around podium potential sports and current targeted sports for the Paralympic Games.
