Tammy McLeod

Tammy McLeod

Tammy McLeod began her para-sport career in swimming, but was quickly recruited to boccia by a friend and has since been to four Paralympic Games. This summer, she says, “it is about remaining focused and taking one game at a time – outwit, outplay, outlast”.

Career Highlights

Tammy’s career highlights include her explosion onto the boccia scene at the 1992 Nationals, winning each of her matches, as well as her experience at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games. Placing tenth, she remembers the crowds, with spectators lining up around the building to watch the competition.

Aside from her intense training schedule, Tammy enjoys spending time with friends and family. An avid basketball fan she is frequently spotted cheering for her favourite teams, the London Lightning and Toronto Raptors.
