Eligible Nominees*
Any person who is 18 years of age or older, who has the power under law to contract, who is resident of Canada, who has not been declared incapable by a court in Canada or in another country, who does not have the status of bankrupt, and who satisfies the requirements of the Income Tax Act in relation to the eligibility to serve as a director of a registered Canadian amateur athletic association may be nominated for election as a Director.

Volunteer Screening*
CPC supports screening volunteers as a vital part of providing a safe sporting environment. All Directors will be required to have a form of screening, i.e., criminal record or vulnerable sector checks, in addition to a completed UCCMS form, before being confirmed as an elected Director for the CPC. By submitting this Nomination Form, you consent to the CPC undertaking a criminal background check and agree to comply and provide any required information to obtain such criminal background record check.

Please provide a brief statement below as to why you wish to run for the position, your prospective contribution to delivering the CPC mission, along with your personal objectives should you be elected. Form D: Campaign Guidelines Acknowledgement 2025

Except for the position of President, direct campaigning with the members is NOT permitted. The Nominations Committee is developing a plan for member engagement that will include a report to the Members on the selection process, information on each individual candidate, an opportunity for a virtual meeting/Q&A with the members, videos to be circulated in advance. CPC staff must refrain from endorsing any candidates.
