Jesse Ward played standing volleyball in high school, but with his mobility limited with two artificial limbs he made a switch to the sitting version of the game in 2013. Ward enjoyed the sport immediately.
“I had the raw volleyball skills and understanding of the game,” he said. “My disability is no longer a limitation, which allows me to play to full capacity.”
Ward was born without outer shin bones and both his legs were amputated as an infant.
