She has occupied numerous senior management positions within the law firm over her 30-year tenure, including the executive committee, operations committee and compensation committee. For over six years she was National Chair of the Litigation Department and was responsible for the management of over 125 legal professionals, including budget and revenue functions.

Deborah believes in an inclusive Para sport system. “Without it there would be a significant segment of our national constituency who would be prevented from competing in sports whether at an elite or even recreational level.  Sport is an important part of our fabric as Canadians.  It is much more than athletics.  It promotes teamwork, personal development, grows relationships and promotes community. Every Canadian deserves an opportunity to participate fully and to enjoy these benefits that sport creates beyond the physical aspect.”
