SOCHI, RUSSIA, March 15, 2014 – Saturday competition was highlighted by skiers Mac Marcoux and guide Robin Fémy capturing gold in the men’s giant slalom visually impaired division, adding to the two bronze medals they won earlier in the Games. Competition in team sports wrapped up today, with the Canadian sledge hockey team winning bronze and the wheelchair curling team winning gold.

What Canada did Thursday at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games

SOCHI, RUSSIA, March 13, 2014 –Thursday competition was highlighted by four-time Paralympian alpine skier Chris Williamson, guided by Nick Brush, who overcome a season of injury to win a remarkable bronze in the men’s visually-impaired slalom race – for his fourth career Paralympic medal.

Para-Nordic skiing and biathlon had the day off on Thursday. The final biathlon competition of the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games will take place at the Laura Nordic Stadium on Friday.

Canada blanked by U.S. in sledge hockey, will play for Paralympic bronze

SOCHI, Russia – Corbin Watson (Kingsville, Ont.) made 7 saves, but Canada’s National Sledge Team couldn’t find the back of the net and dropped a 3-0 decision to the United States in a Thursday semifinal at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

SOCHI, RUSSIA, March 12, 2014 – Para-Nordic skier Brian McKeever’s second gold medal of these Games highlighted Canada’s fifth day of competition in Sochi, along with a silver-medal performance by para-alpine skier Kimberly Joines in the women’s sitting category, though still considered unofficial until an appeal process takes place tomorrow.

Canada routs Sweden in Paralympic opener

SOCHI, Russia, March 8, 2014 – Seven different players scored goals and eight had at least a point as Canada’s National Sledge Team opened the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games with a 10-1 win over Sweden on Saturday.
