SOCHI, RUSSIA, March 16, 2014 – The para-Nordic team had a super Sunday at the Paralympic Games as Brian McKeever won his third gold medal of the Games and sit skier Chris Klebl also won gold, for his first career Paralympic medal. Team Canada has finished the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games ranked third among all nations in the gold medal count, achieving its performance target for these Games. Canadian athletes won seven gold, two silver and seven bronze medals in Sochi.

Canada wins gold in wheelchair curling at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games

Sochi, Russia, March 15, 2014 – Canada won an unprecedented third consecutive gold medal in wheelchair curling today at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games, beating Russia 8-3 in the final this afternoon after beating China 5-4 in the semi-finals in the morning.

Canada blanked by U.S. in sledge hockey, will play for Paralympic bronze

SOCHI, Russia – Corbin Watson (Kingsville, Ont.) made 7 saves, but Canada’s National Sledge Team couldn’t find the back of the net and dropped a 3-0 decision to the United States in a Thursday semifinal at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

 

Williamson and Brush make spectacular comeback to claim bronze in Paralympic slalom

SOCHI, RUS. (March 13, 2014) - Canada's Chris Williamson, guided by Nick Brush, made a remarkable comeback from injury and a last-minute change to his guide by winning bronze in the men's visually impaired slalom on Thursday at the Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, in what was Williamson's very first race of the 2013-14 season.
