CALGARY – Today, Sochi 2014 Olympians, Paralympians and coaches marched and rode through the streets of Calgary for the 2014 Parade of Champions, celebrating their Sochi accomplishments with local Albertan fans.

CALGARY – Today was the second day of the 2014 Celebration of Excellence, a three day series of events where the Sochi 2014 Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Teams make public appearances in Ottawa and various cities throughout Alberta, including 135 schools today in Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, Red Deer and surrounding areas.

CALGARY – Today, the Canadian Paralympic Committee announced the events that Canadian Paralympic Team members will take part in during the three-day 2014 Celebration of Excellence, honouring Sochi 2014 Olympians, Paralympians and coaches. The festivities will take place in Ottawa, Edmonton, Banff, Red Deer and Calgary June 4 to 6. Media are invited for photos and interview opportunities.

From June 4th to 6th 2014, the Canadian Olympic Committee  and Canadian Paralympic Committee's most prestigious  annual event will take place. A superstar class of Olympic and Paralympic heroes will be honoured over three days filled with community outreach, public appearances and engaging celebrations, starting in Ottawa and culminating in the Edmonton and Calgary.

Parade Route announced for Sochi 2014 Canadian Olympic & Paralympic Team Celebration

CALGARY – Today, the Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee announced the official route for the Sochi 2014 Parade of Champions which will take place in Calgary on June 6 at 11:30 a.m. MT.

As part of the 2014 Celebration of Excellence, Canada’s Sochi Olympians and Paralympians will take part in the Parade of Champions which will start on 8th Avenue at 10th Street and finish at Olympic Plaza on Macleod Trail.
