Ray Sewell


Ray Sewell is the head coach on the men’s sitting volleyball team. He was a professional beach volleyball player from 2005 to 2010. He played on the FIVB and NORCECA circuit.  He won one NORCECA tournament with 2012 Olympian Martin Reader in 2010.

In 2010, he was offered the assistant coaching position with the men’s sitting volleyball team and in 2012 he took over as head coach. Sewell was pleased with how his troops performed during a European tour in the spring of 2015. With a mix of youth and veterans he has set his sights on earning a spot for the Rio Paralympics with a top-two performance at the Toronto Parapan Ams.
