Canada Paralympic House

The CPC has an agreement in principle for the location of Canada Paralympic House for the PyeongChang Games!  We are working to secure a space in Ridge 354 to become the Home Away From Home for Canadians in South Korea.

CPH is conveniently located less than a 5 minute walk from both the Opening and Closing Ceremony Stadium and Medals Plaza.

Registration of Canadians Abroad

The CPC recommends that all people travelling to South Korea for the Games should register with the Government of Canada’s  “Registration of Canadians Abroad”.

The ROCA service enables government officials to contact you to provide important information in preparation for an emergency (such as a natural disaster or civil unrest), instructions during emergencies, important changes or updates to the Travel Advice and Advisories for the country for which you registered, and more.

Mobile Communications

The Canadian Paralympic Committee is utilizing the services of Cellhire to provide its athletes and staff with mobile phone service at the Games.

Cellhire is a mobile communications provider that focuses on delivering services at major sporting events such as the Olympics, Paralympics and World Cup. The Canadian Paralympic Committee will be utilizing these services to ensure all members of Team Canada have local SIM cards and functioning phones in PyeongChang.

If you are looking to secure phone communication during your time in PyeongChang2018, it is generally cheaper to utilize local equipment rather than international roaming and easier to use Cellhire than trying to secure it at a local telecom shop.
