Nick Brush

Guide Nick Brush continued his successful partnership with para-alpine skier Chris Williamson in 2014, although under unexpected circumstances. Brush was a late replacement after Williamson’s scheduled guide for Sochi, Robin Fémy, was moved to ski with Mac Marcoux. Marcoux’s original guide, his brother B.J., was injured just before the start of the Sochi Games and could not race. Brush went on to race with Williamson, winning a bronze medal in the slalom for visually impaired.

Williamson and Brush already had a long history together. They joined forces initially in 2007. They won the IPC World Cup overall Crystal Globe in 2009 and were close to the podium in at the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Games with two fourth-place finishes and two sixth-place finishes.

When not guiding, Brush likes to free ski, climb, wakeboard and cycle. He is originally from Invermere, B.C., and resides in North Vancouver.
