Men's National Wheelchair Basketball Team Heading to 2013 Americas Cup to Defend World Ranking

(July 25, 2013 - OTTAWA, ONT.) - The Senior Men's National Wheelchair Basketball Team will put their reputation on the line when they compete at the 2013 Americas Cup in Botoga, Colombia August 4-11. It will be the team's first major international tournament since capturing gold at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Lakatos Golden Again! Brent Lakatos captures 3rd medal at IPC Worlds; Becky Richter takes second silver

Lyon, France - Brent Lakatos of Dorval, Que., stepped on the podium for the third time today at the 2013 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics World Championship.  Other Canadian highlights from today's competition in Lyon, France included a silver medal by Becky Richter of Saskatoon, Sask., and five new Canadian Records.

Canadians Brent Lakatos and Virginia McLachlan each win silver on day 3 of IPC World Championship

Lyon, France - Brent Lakatos of Dorval, Que., and Virginia McLachlan of Windsor, Ont., each won silver medals today at the 2013 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics World Championship in Lyon, France.  The silver was Lakatos' second medal at these World Championships having won gold yesterday in the 400-metres.

Jean-Paul Compaore wins bronze on day 1 of IPC World Championship

Lyon, France - Jean-Paul Compaore of Sherbrooke, Que., won bronze today on day one of the 2013 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletics World Championship.  Compaore took bronze in the men's T54 classification 10000-metres in a time of 23:05.93.
