Josh Dueck launched a great stretch run for Canada at the Paralympic Games with a victory in the para-alpine sit-skiing super combined race.

It was Dueck’s second medal of the Games and first career gold.  The Vernon, B.C. resident was fifth after the super G run but rallied with the fastest slalom to win by 0.89 seconds. “I’m stunned, speechless, to the moon,” he said to The Canadian Press. “This is definitely the one achievement that was missing on my bookshelf.”

Canada moved to fifth in the overall medal tally with 11 — three gold, two silvers and six bronze.  Some great days were still ahead…
