Chris Williamson and Nick Brush

Chris Williamson of Toronto, guided by Nick Brush of Invermere, B.C., made a remarkable comeback from a broken leg and a last-minute guide change to win the bronze in the men's visually impaired slalom.  It was Williamson's very first race of the 2013-14 season.

It was a fourth career Paralympic medal in his fourth Games appearance for Williamson and his first trip to the podium since 2006.  "Overall, I am happy with any medal. It has been a long road to try to get to here," said Williamson. "To get a bronze here under these circumstances is exceptional. My guide Nick and I have worked really hard together in the past four days to be as ready for this as possible, so I think we're doing exceptionally well."

Canada’s medal count grew again and stands at two gold, two silver and six bronze.
