Registration Now Open For Paralympic Schools Week 2016

The Canadian Paralympic Committee is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2016 edition of Paralympic Schools Week, which will be held coast-to-coast from April 25 to 29, 2016.

Schools across Canada are invited to join in this celebration of parasport and the Paralympic movement that promotes healthy active lifestyles for all Canadians. This is a fantastic opportunity for schools to show support for Team Canada and get active in sport ahead of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games taking place September 7 to 18, 2016.

Try out activities from Paralympic FUNdamentals: a free online
resource designed to get kids active and support the development of children through parasport


Access exclusive lesson plans so that students can learn about parasport, the Paralympic Games 
and inclusion of people of all abilities


Engage in various Paralympic-themed activities to support Team Canada athletes on their Road to Rio

In addition, participants can DISCOVER in depth information about Canada’s involvement in the Paralympic movement, Encourage EXCELLENCE through opportunities to get involved in parasport in their own communities, and be given the option to help fuel Canada’s next generation of athletes through FUNDRAISING.
