Canada ends Parapan American Youth Games with two medals

SAO PAULO – Table tennis player Curtis Caron of Halifax won two medals at the Parapan American Youth Games which concluded on Saturday March 25 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Caron won the gold medal in the men’s singles and added a bronze with Gabriel Séguin of Blainville, Que., for the bronze in the team competition.

Canada’s Caron wins table tennis gold at Youth Parapan

Canada won their first medal of the São Paulo 2017 Youth Parapan American Games on Wednesday, as Curtis Caron took the gold in the class 8 men’s singles tournament. The 19-year-old, from Halifax, Nova Scotia, defeated his Ecuadorian opponent, Gabriel Salazar Perez three games to zero – 10-6, 10-6, 10-4.
