SAN LUIS, Argentina – Sam Charron of Ottawa became Canada’s all-time leading scorer and Paralympic medallist Liam Stanley of Victoria added the equalizer to highlight a 3-3 tie with Ireland on Tuesday September 12 at the Para soccer world championships.

‘’3-3 with 5th ranked team in the world. Well done to the boys in RED,’’ tweeted Canada’s head coach Drew Ferguson after the match.

Charron, 19, scored twice for his 29th and 30th career goals while wearing the Maple Leaf in international competition. He moves ahead of Trevor Stiles at 29.
