After an injury-plagued 2013 season, Surrey, B.C., resident Nathan Stein returned with a vengeance to the Canadian para-swimming team in 2014. At the Para Pan Pacific Championships this past August in Pasadena, Stein won the gold medal in the 100-m butterfly and silver in the 100-m freestyle. In both events he lowered Canadian marks held by 19-time Canadian Paralympic medallist Benoît Huot.
