Three Canadian Paralympic female stars landed important positions in 2014. Chantal Petiticlerc, Canada’ most successful Paralympian of all time, was named Team Canada’s Chef de Mission for the 2016 Paralympic Games in Rio, Elisabeth Walker-Young landed the same role for the 2015 Parapan American Games in Toronto and Stephanie Dixon was named assistant Chef de Mission for the Parapan Ams.

This month, join us in revisiting memorable moments for Canadian Paralympic sport in 2014. The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games and the Commonwealth Games were the high profile events for Canadian para-athletes in 2014. But as is the case with their able-bodied counterparts, Canada’s high performance athletes with a disability travelled around the world to various competitions including World Cups and world championships and enjoyed plenty of success.
