At the world boccia championships in Beijing, Marco Dispaltro defeated the number-one ranked player in the world en route to a fourth place finish in the solo competition. That key victory nudged the St-Jérôme, Que., resident into the number-one spot in the world rankings even though Dispaltro was left off the podium for one of the rare occasions in his international career.

This month, join us in revisiting memorable moments for Canadian Paralympic sport in 2014. The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games and the Commonwealth Games were the high profile events for Canadian para-athletes in 2014.
