Wheelchair racer Diane Roy of Sherbrooke, Que., delivered another fine international performance for Canada this summer with a silver medal in the women’s 1500-m race at the Commonwealth Games. Since 1994, the Games have included events for athletes with a disability. Alex Dupont added a bronze for Canada in the men’s 1500-m wheelchair race as did Aurélie Rivard in the 200-m individual medley for para-swimmers.
