Massoud Khanmohammad will make his Team Canada debut at the Parapan American Games in Toronto. The 42-year-old is excited about playing before his hometown crowd with a spot to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games on the line.
Khanmohammad, who moved to Canada only six years ago, enjoyed the standing version of the sport initially but decided two years ago to also participate in the sitting game. He says sitting volleyball is much tougher primarily because of the movement. He crushed his ankle in a car accident in his native Iran when he was 12.
