Justin Karn

 

Active in swimming, wrestling, goalball and cross country running before taking up Judo at age 13 at the W. Ross Macdonald School for Students who are Visually Impaired, Blind and Deafblind in Brantford, Ont., Justin Karn is a natural athlete. Renowned for his strength and coordination on the tatami, Karn is ready to compete on home turf at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Through Judo, Karn has had the opportunity to travel the globe, attending World Championships in Italy, Canada, France and Turkey. His strongest performances are a bronze at the Guadalajara 2011 Parapan American Games. He also placed seventh at both the 2015 IBSA World Judo Championships and the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

PERSONAL

In his free time, Karn enjoys cooking and playing the guitar. He is also learning Swedish and plans on pursing further education in the near future.
