Guillaume Ouellet

 

In 2015 Guillaume Ouellet produced a breakthrough season with the gold medal in the 1500m at the Parapan American Games and victory in the 5000m at the IPC World Championships.   The visually impaired runner gained valuable experience at the 2013 IPC World Championships with a fourth place in the 1500-m final.

Ouellet has retinitis pigmentosa, which has left him with a field of vision of about 10 degrees.

Has one son, Alex-Antoine… currently working part-time in a shoe store in Quebec City…Passion for baking, coffee and running off course… Started running in college for Universite Laval cross-country team in 2011.
