How do I sign up a team?

  • Register at our event website and invite up to 5 coworkers, friends, family to join you or contact Dean Brokop, Manager, Foundation at dbrokop@paralympic.ca or (613) 569-4333 x249
  • Space is limited – sign up quick to ensure your spot

What is expected of me as a participant?

  • Arrive on event day with a smile and ready to have fun!
  • Fundraise your registration fee in support of the Paralympic Foundation of Canada

How much do I have to raise?

We ask that each team raise a minimum of $5,000 (that’s just over $800 per team member). Note – if you don’t want to fundraise, you can also simply write a cheque for the $5,000 registration fee.  We are here to support your fundraising efforts in any way we can.

What happens if we don't raise $5,000?

To compete in the ParaTough Cup on February 23rd, teams must raise a minimum of $5,000. Fundraising accounts for a part of your overall score towards winning the ParaTough Cup.

How does my team win?

Your team wins by having the most combined points from the amount of money your team has fundraised, as well as your performance at the various sports and challenges.

What if there is a tie in total points

The tie breaker is the team who raised the most amount of money, down to a single penny. If there is a tie in money raised, there will be a fitness challenge as the tie breaker.

Do I have to participate in every challenge?

Each team member will be required to participate in every challenge, with the exception of the weighted chin-up and decline push-up challenge, which requires only a minimum of three participants from your team. We encourage you to look at the challenges and be strategic when assembling your team!

What should I bring?

Comfortable athletic wear and good running shoes. Your team will be provided with t-shirts and competition bibs. You may also want to bring a change of clothes for the post-event reception.

Will there be food and drink available?

There will be various event sponsors who will have drink and snacks available throughout the competition. There will also be a post event reception with food and beverages.

Will you provide parking?

Parking will not be provided as the facility is located in downtown Toronto. There are pay parking lots nearby.

How do I get there?

The University of Toronto’s Athletic Centre is located at 55 Harbord St, Toronto, ON M5S 2W6. Please ensure to use this address as the University of Toronto has various athletic facilities in various locations.

Is there a place to change/store my personal items?
