EVERY COIN COUNTS!
The Paralympic Foundation of Canada would like to invite your school to take part in a fundraising activity called #CoinsForCanada.
Our goal is to ensure that the programs, equipment and people are in place to propel more Canadian athletes with a disability all the way from the playground to the Paralympic podium.
Our dream is that no Canadian with a disability should ever face a barrier to participating in sport.
We would like to ask students to bring coins to school to support our Community Engagement and Equipment programs that contribute to creating a path for Canadians who wish to be active and participate in parasport.
HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE
Step 1 – Collect coins during Paralympic Schools Week, April 25-29, in your class or at your school
Step 2 – Send your donation: At any CIBC branch in Canada, online or by mail. Download online
We would like to ask students to bring coins to school during Paralympic Schools Week to support our Community Engagement and Equipment programs that contribute to creating a path for Canadians who wish to be active and participate in parasport.
Students could bring in coins on a single day or each day of the week. For example, to build a theme for each day, students could be asked to bring:
• Pennies on Monday
• Nickels on Tuesday
• Dimes on Wednesday
• Quarters on Thursday
• Lucky Loonie on Friday
Or simply choose a day when students bring whatever they can so that they are able to participate and contribute to this initiative.
At the conclusion of Paralympic Schools Week, participating schools can submit their funds raised in a number of ways including direct deposit at a local CIBC branch, online payment at Paralympic.ca or by cheque via mail to the Paralympic Foundation of Canada.
