Craig McCord


​Craig McCord has been National Coach for Swimming/Natation Canada's Para-swimming Program since 2004, and over the course of his 31-year coaching career has coached at all levels of both able-bodied and para-swimming.

Craig is a Chartered Professional Coach and an NCCP Level 3 Certified Coach with experience producing elite performance at a national and international level, including Olympian Brian Johns and Paralympic and world record holder Walter Wu.

Along with coaching, Craig currently sits as the Chair of the IPC Swimming Coaches Advisory Council; has presented on behalf of the CPC's Changing Minds, Changing Lives Program, has taught NCCP Swimming Technical Swimming Courses, and has worked in developing Para-swimming Coach Professional Development modules for Swimming Canada.

Craig also has extensive experience working with non-profit and volunteer sports organizations, including the British Columbia Swim Coaches Association, Richmond Rapids Swim Club and the City of Richmond Aquatic Services Board.
