Brandon King

Visually-impaired runner Brandon King will be competing in London at his first Paralympic Games. In 2012, he won both the T12 100m and 200m at the Canadian Track and Field Trials in Calgary. King also won the T12 200m and 400m titles at the 2010 and 2011 national championships. He is the current Canadian record holder in the T12 200m.

At the 2011 Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, King finished fourth in the T12 400 metres and eighth in the 100m. He was a member of the 4x100-metre relay team that was fourth at the 2011 IPC World Championships in Christchurch, NZL.

King has moved from his hometown of Brampton to Ottawa in order to live, train and work with guide runner Andrew Heffernan.
