Canadian Men's Wheelchair Basketball team to train in Ottawa

 

The team is gearing up for the ParaPanAmerican Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, running from August 12-19, 2007.

The top three teams at the Rio Games will qualify for the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Summer Games.

CPC invites media to apply for accreditation to cover the 2007 Parapanamerican Games

 

All applications must be received by Friday, June 29, 2007. This is
the only process for Canadian print and Internet media to apply for

Tamborero becomes first woman to win prestigious wheelchair tennis coaching award

 

She was named the 2006 recipient in recognition of her outstanding
contributions to wheelchair tennis at the international level. The

Paralympian Stephanie Dixon heads to Brazil with gold medals

 

Dixon, a 23-year-old student at the University of Victoria, won the
medals at the 2007 Can-Am Swimmers with a Disability Championships that
wrapped Sunday in Montreal. She swam to gold in the 100m back with a
time of 1:13.45 and in the 400m free in 4:55.10.
