Andrea Carey has been a Member of the Canadian Paralympic Committee Board of Directors since 2010, serving as Chair of the Paralympic Development Committee, Co-Chair of the Human Resources Committee, past-Chair of the External Representation Committee and on the Finance & Audit Committee. She is also on the working group around Creating Safe, Welcoming and Inclusive Sport Environment.

Andrea is currently the Director of Operations and Special Projects with the Sport for Life Society in Victoria, B.C., where she oversees operations of the national not-for-profit and drives the development of resources and tools for projects around inclusion, including for Aboriginal peoples, persons with a disability and newcomers. Andrea is passionate about developing physical literacy throughout the lifespan and ensuring a quality sport experience for every Canadian.

She is also on the Board for the Active Living Alliance for Canadians with a Disability and KidSport Victoria.
